Why You Should Join Us
We have been actively expanding the Motor City Bears and reaching out to alumni to help build a Cal community in the Mitten. So far, we’ve had great success in creating a board and moving forward with virtual events. When we are able to have in-person events, we will reach out to alumni throughout Michigan. Ultimately, the goal is to make a place where Cal alumni of all walks of life can come together!

Our chapter hosts football watch parties, hiking events, baking parties, volunteer events, summer welcome parties for the incoming Cal students, and much more!
What is the main focus of your Cal alumni chapter?
The main focus of our chapter is to gather Cal alumni to build a community of Cal Bears here in Southeast Michigan to advance and promote the interests of the University of California, Berkeley. We inform, engage, and inspire alumni to support the university by participating and volunteering in university and alumni activities, acting as ambassadors and advocates on behalf of the university, and giving to the university.
How do I become a chapter leader?
