The Prytanean Faculty Enrichment Award, established 1986
Since 1986, Prytanean Alumnae, Inc. has annually awarded a financial grant to an outstanding woman tenure-track faculty member on the Berkeley campus. The original of $10,000 has increased to $35,000, and the award winner may use the award in any way they choose.
A competitive process takes into account each applicant’s record as a distinguished teacher, demonstrated scholarly achievement, commitment to community service (whether the U.C. Berkeley community or another community), and dedication to mentoring students at U.C. Berkeley.
Prytanean Alumnae is very proud to be able to offer this Award each year, increasing the amount as we are financially able. We hope that this Award benefits the award winner, their departments and students, and strengthens the entire U.C. Berkeley community.
