Join the DC Cal Alumni Club at 11 a.m. on April 5, 2025 – almost exactly 160 years after Robert E. Lee's surrender to Union General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House, which effectively ended the civil war (April 9, 1865) – we will have a guided tour of the Missing Soldiers Office Museum to see the actual rooms where Clara Barton lived and worked during the civil war, in what became the Missing Soldiers Office, and we will learn about Clara's fascinating life story.

Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the geopolitical landscape in Europe and beyond has changed dramatically. Berkeley professor Yuriy Gorodnichenko will analyze recent developments in the US-Ukraine relationship, security arrangements in Europe, and the prospect for peace in Ukraine. He will also discuss Ukraine's wartime economy and the ability of the country to continue its resistance to Russian aggression.
